Today we woke up and scheduled in a much needed rest day. No outings, no family gatherings. Nuda nuda nuda!!!
It was Spanish Rahul’s family function tonight, with many of his family arriving from Delhi and staying at the family home in Model Town area. We were all starting to show signs of being run down: sore throats and puffy eyes. It was hard to say no, since all the newly arriving family members from Delhi wanted to meet us all, but it had to be done. Garry was disappointed. Money was too. So too were the family members.
We had been asked to stay for Rahul’s wedding function on the 17th – the ring ceremony. So we have cancelled our flights to Aurangabad for the 17th, and our plan is to attend tomorrow’s evening function and book a train trip to Delhi and stay there for 4-5 nights before heading down to Buldana. That’s the new plan, mark 2.
I managed to get a lot of catch-up writing done today. I am yet to get my blog posts uploaded as the wifi at every place we stay at is way too weak. So I will need to work out a plan to get that happening. Social media is great when we travel, but I really planned on writing a daily account of our adventure for three reasons: to share with our friends and family members back home who wish to follow us, secondly to have an account of our trip to remember and reminisce in the future, and thirdly to one day write a book of our year- long adventure.
We found a Café Coffee Day and enjoyed coffee (well I did) and some chocolate puddings (girls did). It was a nice cheat day.
The world around us continued on its own, and so did we.
