Wow what a morning at Pudu Market – the sight, the smell, the animals and fresh fruit & vegies. Let’s just say it tested the comfort zone of the kids. It was run by Malaysian Chinese and well do they know how to put on a market!
We caught the local trains for 1.7 RM (Ringitt) each one way so a total of 10.20 RM (just over $3). When you get out of the hear of the main shopping streets of the city, you really get a sense of the real Malaysia with its old houses and unmaintained roads.
Today was the first morning all the kids didn’t complain about their feet being sore or stomachs being empty – I just think we’re starting to get used to it all here (thankfully).
PS looked out for pig penises and sting rays but none to be found. But we did find this product for sale with an unusual picture on it!
Hi guys, looks like you are already having some fun and seeing exciting things! Love reading your posts. Keep them coming. Gary spoke with his friends at work and some of them have relatives in the areas you are traveling through but they don’t speak any English so they think the communication would be too difficult 🙁 never mind, it was worth a try. Karen xx
Hey Karen all great here in Hanoi! Glad you like the updates. No problems with the Vietnamese contacts. Thanks for letting us know. Cheers Lisa
