I’ve been blown away at the response we’re getting for the 6-week OFF SEASON running program that starts tonight at 6.30pm to raise money for the orphans and children’s blind centre we will be staying at and visiting in Vietnam. Considering we will be running in the pitch dark and it will be cold and icy I think we have a full house with between 25 – 30 runners coming along to start training with intervals and fartleking (yes it is a funny term!) for a 12km goal on 1 July 2012.
I am personally looking forward to running again within a group and being inspired to keep turning up even when I don’t want to! That’s the thing I love best about running – the group and how it simply changes the way you view exercise and running distances that you thought were impossible. It’s transformative. It’s inspirational. It’s magical.
And so too will be the money raised to support the orphans and blind children in Vietnam that my family is privileged to be visiting in July. Only 6 weeks to go and we’re off…but first OFF SEASON running to focus on.
Happy running everyone and thank you so much in advance for supporting this little idea of mine. 🙂
